Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of singing tuition and vocal coaching services by the Studio to you (the Student). By booking a session, accessing our tools, or purchasing tuition, you enter into a legally binding agreement under the laws of England and Wales.
1. Professional Service Standards
The Studio agrees to provide all vocal coaching sessions with reasonable care and skill, in full compliance with Section 49 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Tuition will focus on technical vocal mechanics, pedagogical exercises, and repertoire development tailored to your vocal capabilities.
- The Studio makes no absolute guarantees regarding specific musical outcomes, examination passes, or performance auditions, as individual progress depends entirely on the student's personal practice, anatomical limits, and application.
2. Fees and Payment Integration
- Upfront Fees: All lesson fees must be paid in full at the time of scheduling via our integrated online booking system, unless alternate invoicing arrangements have been explicitly agreed in writing.
- Price Changes: The Studio reserves the right to adjust tuition fees for future bookings at any time. Any changes will be updated clearly on the website and will never affect sessions you have already booked and paid for.
- Unpaid Fees: Access to private booking links and live teaching sessions will be suspended immediately if a transaction fails or a fee remains outstanding.
3. Student Responsibilities & Technical Prerequisites
Because online lessons rely heavily on real-time interactive audio, you are responsible for maintaining the minimum technical environment necessary to participate:
- Equipment: You must have access to a device capable of running Google Meet with a stable, high-speed internet connection, a functional webcam, and a clear microphone.
- Environment: You must join the session from a quiet, private, and well-lit room free from background noise and distractions.
- Conduct: The Studio maintains a zero-tolerance policy for abusive, inappropriate, or disrespectful behavior. The Studio reserves the right to terminate a live session immediately if conduct falls below professional standards, with no refund provided.
4. Minor Students (Under 18)
The Studio prioritizes student safety and child safeguarding frameworks:
- Contractual agreements for students under the age of 18 must be entered into by a parent or legal guardian.
- A parent or legal guardian must give explicit written consent for the tuition and must remain reasonably accessible within the property or proximity of the device during live online sessions.
5. Service Disruption & Technical Outages
Because online tuition relies on third-party cloud infrastructure, technical failures can occasionally occur. Responsibility and resolution are split as follows:
- Student-Side Issues: If a session is disrupted due to failures in your local internet connection, your hardware, or your microphone setup, the Studio is not responsible for replacing the lost time, and the lesson fee remains payable.
- Studio-Side / Global Infrastructure Outages: If a lesson cannot proceed because the Studio's internet connection fails, or due to a major global outage of our chosen platform (Google Workspace/Google Meet), the Studio acknowledges that the service cannot be fulfilled.
- In these instances, the Studio will reschedule the affected session at no additional cost to you, or issue a full lesson credit.
- The Studio is not liable for any indirect costs or inconveniences caused by such scheduling adjustments (such as time taken off work).
6. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes the Studio's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation, as protected under UK law.
Subject to the above, the Studio's total financial liability to you for any single claim arising out of your tuition, technical outages, or any breach of this contract shall be strictly limited to a refund of the total fee paid by you for the specific lesson slot in question.
7. Intellectual Property
Any educational resources, custom backing tracks, diagrams, or client-side software tools provided to you during your tuition remain the intellectual property of the Studio.
- You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use these materials for your own personal practice and vocal development.
- You must not copy, distribute, resell, or share these resources or tools with third parties or other music teachers without explicit written permission.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions, along with the companion Booking/Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy, are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales. Any legal disputes arising out of this agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
9. Amendments and Version Control
The Studio reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time to reflect updates in our software infrastructure, operational adjustments, or changes to the laws of England and Wales.
- Single/Pay-As-You-Go Bookings: The version of the Terms and Conditions in effect at the exact timestamp of your individual booking will govern that specific lesson slot.
- Prepaid Packages & Block Bookings: If you purchase a multi-lesson package or block booking, the version of the terms in existence at the exact moment you paid for the package will remain locked in and apply to all lesson slots within that specific block. Updated terms will only apply when you choose to purchase a brand-new package.
- Statutory Overrides: The only exception to the above is a retroactive change strictly mandated by UK statutory law. In such a rare event, the change will apply from its legal effective date, and the Studio will notify you immediately via email.
